Erland teamed with Davis Square Architects of Somerville to complete  Waverly Woods —a 40-unit residential complex located along a busy commuter road in Belmont, Massachusetts. The affordable housing development features a mix of 2- and 3-bedroom townhouse-style apartment units in six 3-story, wood-framed buildings. Due to the extreme sloping, the site was engineered to be terraced with multiple retaining walls separating each level. This development has been recognized for its wise incorporation of sustainable design elements and systems. All units were built to Energy Star Home standards.
