Lobby & Atrium Renovation

Erland, in collaboration with Commercial Construction Consulting, Inc., was selected to renovate the atrium and lobby space within an occupied multifamily residential property in Canton. The building is a 60-unit, 55-and-older apartment community located in a historic development overlooking the Neponset River. The scope of work included the installation of sleek floor-to-ceiling glass partitions and modern railings, along with essential upgrades to the building’s life safety and fire protection systems. Construction was performed utilizing lifts and temporary staging to provide a safe means of egress and access to the lobby for the duration of the project. As an occupied apartment community, Erland took great care in maintaining a safe living environment for residents. To minimize any inconvenience, temporary partitions were installed strategically, providing a buffer to control noise and dust levels, along with daily cleaning of the construction areas. Work was only performed during the designated hours to mitigate disruption to residents’ daily routines.
