Ocular Therapeutix Fit Out

Ocular Therapeutix, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development, manufacturing and commercialization of innovative therapies for diseases and conditions of the eye, partnered with Erland to renovate 3,000sf of office space in an unoccupied building on Crosby Drive. The building was previously renovated by Erland for its former occupant, Holcim. Erland, in conjunction with L Design and Maugel, transformed the existing closed office space into an amenityfilled, open-concept, alternative workspace for Ocular employees. The new layout features collaborative seating, a recharging bar, and huddle rooms. In addition to cosmetic renovations, Erland upgraded some mechanical systems as well as relocated underground conduits from the existing building to the new building. Tie-ins and shutdowns were closely coordinated with Ocular’s facilities to minimize disruption to the company’s ongoing operations.
