The Barn at TRIO (Washington Place)

Mark Development teamed with Erland and Form + Place, Inc. to fit-out 8,200sf of commercial space for The Barn Family Shoe Store in Newton, MA. The Barn was previously located at 25 Kempton Place and moved into Mark Development’s new mixed-used development, TRIO (Washington Place). The new storefront has a main entrance on Walnut Street with a second entrance into TRIO’s interior courtyard and ample parking for patrons. The retail space was outfitted with new flooring, lighting, millwork, interior storefront vestibules, and a VRF HVAC system. In keeping with and expanding upon the layout of the previous location, the new store has two bathrooms, a kitchenette, back office, and extensive storage space. The interior was also painted. This was Mark Development’s second project with Erland.
