Washington Place Owner, LLC joined forces with Erland Construction and Prellwitz Chilinski Associates to create a new 299,000sf mixed-used property at the corner of Walnut Street and Washington Street in Newton. The two out-of-the-ground buildings have one level of below-grade parking, one level of retail space, and 3- to 4-stories of wood-framed residential units with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. In total, TRIO (Washington Place) houses 140 apartments, 41,960sf of commercial space, 309 parking spaces, and over 15,000sf of public outdoor space. Residential amenities include a luxury clubroom, state-of-the-art fitness center, public art gallery and much more. Safety and sustainability were major priorities throughout construction. Erland took great care mitigating disruption to neighboring homes as well as the flow of traffic on these busy streets. TRIO (Washington Place) was designed and constructed to achieve LEED Gold certification. Washington Place Owner, LLC, Erland and Prellwitz Chilinski Associates closely collaborated to attain this level of sustainability.
