Athletic Performance Center at St. Mark's School

St. Mark’s School teamed with Erland to renovate 6,350sf of space within their existing athletic facility – Elkins Field House. The upgraded space provides dedicated areas for stateof-the-art training, fitness, recreation and wellness programs. The athletic performance center houses six training pods – complete with bench racks for weightlifting and deadlift floor pads for safe strength training – fitness equipment including cardiovascular machines, plyoboxes, medicine balls, and Keisler functional trainers, as well as rowing machines. It also provides office space and additional storage for the St. Mark’s Athletics Department – including a pick-up/drop-off area for team uniforms to be washed. Additional scope of work for this summer slammer included renovating the sprinkler system, upgrading the MEP systems, and enclosing two open-air walkways flanking the main lobby entrance of the building. Ongoing summer camps occupied the St. Mark’s campus, including Elkins Field House, for the duration of the project. Safety was our top priority throughout construction. The Athletic Performance Center is St. Mark’s sixth project with Erland.
