The Erland Charitable Foundation Celebrates 10 Years of Service
BURLINGTON, MA — The Erland Charitable Foundation is proud to celebrate a decade of service, partnership, and community impact. Established in 2016 by Erland Construction employees inspired to give back to the communities they help build, the Foundation marks its 10th anniversary this year—reflecting on a decade of generosity, volunteerism, and meaningful connection.
Born out of Erland’s involvement with the New England Center for Children’s (NECC) Autism Institute project, the Foundation was created after employees witnessed firsthand the daily challenges experienced by NECC students and their families. That experience sparked a collective commitment: to use Erland’s resources, networks, and people to make a real and lasting impact on the lives of others.
Since its founding, the Erland Charitable Foundation has raised more than $300,000 to support organizations dedicated to education, youth development, basic needs, and community well-being. Beneficiaries include the New England Center for Children, Billerica Scholarship Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Woburn, Burlington Community Scholarship Foundation, People Helping People, Wee Care Burlington, and numerous other local nonprofits that support individuals and families across the region.
“What an exciting time!” said Steve Craft, Foundation President. “Celebrating 10 years of service is an incredible accomplishment, made possible by countless people who believe in giving back. I’m grateful for how far we’ve come and look forward to seeing what the Foundation can achieve in the next decade.”
The Foundation's impact extends well beyond financial support. Its events—ranging from fundraisers to community drives—have strengthened relationships between Erland employees, trade partners, charitable organizations, and the people they collectively serve.
“We are deeply grateful for the Erland Foundation’s unwavering support over the years,” shared Donna Russo, Founder and Director of Wee Care Burlington. “Their commitment has made a tremendous difference for the families we serve, and we truly value the partnership we’ve built together.”
As the Foundation celebrates this milestone, it also recognizes the people who have made it possible: Erland employee-owners who volunteer their time; trade partners who contribute generously year after year; and community organizations that do the critical work of supporting those who need it most.
Sean McDonald, President of Erland Construction, shares, “The Erland Charitable Foundation represents the very best of who we are as an employee-owned company. Our people have always believed that building stronger communities goes hand-in-hand with building great projects. Reaching the 10-year milestone is a testament to their generosity, their compassion, and their commitment to making a difference. I couldn’t be prouder of what this Foundation has accomplished and what I know it will continue to achieve in the years ahead.”
The next decade of the Erland Charitable Foundation promises to build on this momentum, expanding partnerships, deepening community impact, and continuing to honor the spirit of service that has guided the Foundation from the beginning.
