Erland Construction and Olson Lewis + Architects Selected to Revitalize Historic Appledore and Construct Innovative Design Center at Tenacre Country Day School

Wellesley, MA – Erland Construction, in collaboration with Scalora Consulting Group and Olson Lewis + Architects, is pleased to announce their selection by Tenacre Country Day School to relocate and transform the school’s historic two-story headmaster’s residence, known as Appledore, and construct a new two-story Design Center in its place.

Tenacre Country Day School's Head of School, Will Crissman, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "We are delighted to embark on this journey with Erland Construction and Olson Lewis + Architects. This project represents a significant step forward in enhancing our campus facilities and supporting our mission to provide an exceptional educational experience for our students."

Appledore, boasting a rich history dating back to 1880 and spanning 4,120 square feet, will undergo an extensive renovation, evolving into a vibrant hub for admissions and development offices. The revitalization of Appledore aims to seamlessly blend modern functionality with a respectful nod to its heritage, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the school.

In addition to restoring Appledore, Erland will construct a cutting-edge two-story Design Center spanning 9,480 square feet. The Design Center promises to provide an innovative environment conducive to learning and creativity, elevating the academic experience at Tenacre Country Day School.
